"Honeybee on Fennel" - NANPA 2023 Showcase Top 250 Macro/Micro/All Other Wildlife Category
Honeybee on Fennel. Honeybees were visiting lots of flowers in the garden. It was an overcast day, which helped provide bright, even light, with no shadows. I got close to this bee with a macro lens, but I wanted to keep the fennel flowers in view so I backed up a bit. In the background were sunflowers and fruit trees, but all you see is this little pollinator on fennel flowers, dong an awesome job spreading pollen to other flowers, and gathering pollen and nectar for its nearby hive.
