Two young Cattle Egrets (Bubulcus ibis) wait patiently for a parent to return with food. I have never seen a Cattle Egret wrap itself around a branch like this. I watched both birds for a while and they stayed in this position the entire time I was there. Location: Puerto Jimenez, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.
